Red Hot and Wild by Raphael Czaja

An ungimmicked and easy-to-do double transformation with playing cards using the spectator's signature.

The magician displays a red-backed Joker. "Jokers can be useful in any card game but they also have interesting properties for magicians. Let me show you how." A spectator selects and signs a card in a blue-backed deck. The magician buries the signed card and inserts the Joker into the deck. "When in contact with the deck, the Joker is able to take the identity of any selected card, including yours." He spreads the cards face down to show the red-backed Joker in the middle. The red-backed card is turned over: It has changed into the spectator's selection - minus his signature!

"Thank you... Now, you may argue that it is not an exact replica of your card. But if we just wait for a few seconds, the Joker is also able to steal your signature." When the card is turned over again, the spectator's signature has appeared on the face!

Easy to do. Uses regular cards. No fake card. No gimmick. The signed card can be given as a souvenir. At the end, you are left with a deck of blue-backed cards only. Also includes a "no card in pocket" version.
