There is no complicated memory work and nothing for them to do! In fact, in the first two phases of this routine, your secret accomplice won't even know how they are doing it. You can even do this with numbers! Have your friend walk out of the room, somebody else writes down a three-digit number on a Post-it pad, they take the paper from the pad and crumple it up and hide it. Your friend comes back into the room and immediately is able to tell not only who hid the paper, but also name all three numbers without the performer ever saying a word.
