Advanced Card Magic By Howard Albright
Description
Ten brilliant Albright card effects you can perform with a borrowed pack with little or no set-up. These are truly clever card magic presentations, many with clever twists, that will astound your audience. Plus, despite the title, only basic card control skills are required.
Effects include:
THE GOOFY CARD
An "Ambitious Card" effect in which a card repeatedly jumps from the middle to the top of the deck. But with a surprise feature at the finish, which makes a hit every time.
THE PERSISTENT CARD
A great follow-up to The Goofy Card in which one card repeatedly turns up much to the apparent consternation of the performer. Finally, after all of the cards are shown to be the "persistent card," the deck is handed to the spectator who discovers that card isn't even in the deck. The performer then removes it from his pocket.
THE MIND OF MESPHISTOPHELES
Several cards are selected and shuffled into the deck. You name the location of each and spectators find their cards at that number.
INTUITION OR WHAT?
A borrowed, shuffled deck is handed to performer. Without looking at the faces, he immediately names the card at any number requested. And this can be repeated indefinitely.
PECULIARITIES OF THE PASTEBOARDS
A triple-climax effect that demonstrates that cards are more than just inanimate objects!
MENTAL POWER
The spectator spells to discover a card he was merely thinking of and never removed from the deck or otherwise informed the performer.
SUPRISE SPELLER
Even if you aren't a fan of spelling effects, this is one you'll do. After the performer spells to the wrong card, it changes into the right one while in the spectator's hand!
THE EDUCATED CARD
Three cards, chosen by spectators spell automatically. The last one, spectator spells himself, mentally, and it's there!
TRIPLE STOP DISCLOSURE
After selecting a card, the spectator stops the performer at three places in the deck to discover the first card reveals the card's suit, the second its value and the third...the spectator's actual card.
LUCKY NUMBER
Three spectators each select a card which are later all re-discovered using random "Lucky" cards they also chose.
